Happy 1st Birthday Sampson! 2008-08-24

It is hard to believe that our little nephew is already one year old! He went from a little sleepy eyed fuzzy headed newborn to a bright eyed active walker/climber extraordinaire in a blink of an eye.
Two weeks ago family and friends all gathered at Jimmy and Sarah's for little Sampson's first birthday. There was lots of food and plenty of birthday cake for all. Sarah and Jimmy did a wonderful job of hosting and even included some traditional Korean food and a traditional Korean ceremony. Sammy finished up the day with a marathon of walking from one family member to another. Take a look!

You're the man, Dad!

Traditional Korean Ceremony
A pen, a spool of thread, and a dollar bill were all placed about 10 ft. away and Sammy was let loose to see which one he would pick. He went for the pen first and then grabbed the spool of thread and completely neglected the dollar bill. Each object represented what characteristic would most prominent within Sampson. It is destined that Sampson will focus more on his studies and be a very educated man. (did i get that right Sarah?)
